So the counter sniper teams weren’t on the roof of the building because it was sloped, but the building they were on was sloped? Got it. Seems reasonable.

They know there are plenty of morons out there who will buy their BS. There always is.
My understanding is the suspected shooter’s position on the rooftop is less than 150 yards from where Trump was standing.
My question, in addition to the “carve-out” in the “security bubble” and the “sloped roof” nonsense, is: “Why the Hell was the ‘security bubble’ so small?”
There are millions of hunters in America who can take a deer with a rifle shot up to 200 yards without breaking a sweat. Tens of thousands who can do it at 300 or 400. Hell, there’s some shooters who could do it with a quality pistol!
The event was in Pennsylvania, which while Blue-leaning, still has plenty of outdoors-men and -women who know how to handle a rifle.
So why wasn’t the “security bubble” a quarter-mile-radius or more? And if it was, we’re back to “Why was that building, with a clear line of sight and close enough to be a threat, left unmanned AND unwatched?”

I’m in MKE at convention. Never saw so many cops in my life. But TBH I’m not sure most are providing value added. Example: Saw a gaggle of about a doz cops on bikes in the secured area perimeter. Follow the leader paceline. Not sure what that does?
