U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle resigned from her position on Tuesday after her evasive testimony before the House Oversight Committee on Monday, the Associated Press reports.
Well, bye. Maybe for good.
I predict: She knows too much. She is now in danger. Like the folks associated with Blackrock and Austin Private Wealth who shorted Trump’s stock the day before the assassination attempt.
One comment at the link above: “I cannot believe how very few people (almost nobody) are talking about how the AR15 is laying 15 feet from where the sniper shot the 20 year old kid. That kid did not even have a rifle in his hands when the sniper took out his brain pan. Did he even fire a shot?”

I didn’t think she would stay – her staying would have been a political lightning rod (might still be ?) and the Democrats don’t need any more challenges than they have (rightfully earned in my opinion).

Standard Washington, D.C. damage control procedures so far. Option one is to hide the scandal, but it can’t be contained, then option two is to do a limited hangout, i.e., disclose part of the incriminating information but manage it in such a way as to deflect suspicion from the higher-ups and the most-damage disclosures. Sometimes, a limited or partial hangout occurs on its own, which may be the case here… but no matter. Around this time, too, is when the insiders will start to throw a few functionaries to the wolves. If the scandal is big-enough, it can be an agency head, such as Cheatle.
Other commenters may be right: Depending on just how deep was her role in this scheme, and how much she knows, Cheatle may be in jeopardy. Standard damage control procedures also involve tying up any loose ends, especially the kind who can implicate the folks in the shadows actually giving the orders.
How wide this thing blows open depends in part on how big the plot was, specifically how well hidden it was and how many participants it had ~ on both sides of the aisle. Trump was/is hated not just by the political left, but by a significant portion of the GOP establishment as well.

I dug into the stock shorting issue because I wanted to know for sure it was true. It is not. Information comes from a 13f filing with the SEC for Q1 trades which just happened to come out the day before the shooting. Really bad timing. Each short represents 100 shares. For the end of Q1 they had 12 shorts or 1200 shares. Somehow this got entered as 12 million shares. Also, they misrepresented all of their shorts…not just DJT. For Invidia they had 370 million shares shorted etc. They did it with every single company. If you look at their initial filing all of the short positions were astronomical. They have since filed and updated disclosure and all of their short positions. And, to reiterate, none of these trades occurred on July 12th. They were the positions held on June 30. Again, this thing stinks to high heaven and I am not discounting very nefarious motives, but this particular one is not true.
