Now we’ll wait to see if the Ninth snatches defeat from the jaws of victory with an en banc review.

Not sure it really changes much, except the “30 day” rule. You have to have a serial number to get the permit, so I’m not sure how often 30 days is a problem for anyone. As far as the inspection at police HQ, that is a major hassle if you bring in guns from out of state (eg, military incoming).
But now we are fighting a .50 cal ban that’s working it’s way through. That one will make it illegal to acquire something like a model 1868 Springfield in 50-70 gov’t.
