Our friend Timothy Harper with News Now OKC recently did a 2A audit in Mcloud, Oklahoma.
So there are a few things that need to be reinforced with the Mcloud PD. First of all, there was no legal necessity for Mr. Harper to show his ID. This wasn’t a “Terry Stop.” You could not articulate suspicion of a crime.
Second, you had no right to order him off the street, and I’m glad he stood his ground. Third, you couldn’t articulate any difference between flying a kite and Mr. Harper doing what he was doing, which is entirely legal, and yet you ordered him off the street. So you looked stupid.
Finally, tell fat boy he needs to lose some weight if he wants to chase down the real bad guys.
I’m glad Mr. Harper is doing this. It apparently is needful and I hope he keeps going.

And I agree with Mr. Harper, every AR owner in the town needs come out on the street with ONE OF their rifles, if only to show the po po that they are way outgunned, outmatched, and that politeness is everybody’s best option, an armed society being a polite society.
Walked into a local chain gas station open carrying and do you know what they did? They thanked me for the business. And now, I don’t get my gas anywhere else. see how that works? Politeness.

Your argument is that if we just hide rights they won’t be taken from us, those rights that we happen to be refusing to practice and exercise, which in fact have already been taken from us (by ourselves) if we don’t exercise them.

Yes, I know some LE who are very pro-2A. I also know some who believe only the government and military should possess firearms.
As to what “should have happened” when a concerned citizen called to report the man walking with his gun, the police should have responded that unless he was doing something illegal there is nothing they can/should do.
