And after you “do what you have to do” the police will probably find the time to come and arrest you. They are not our friends. They are not our protectors. They serve themselves and their master (the State).

I heard a joke that may or may not help,
*****************************************
A man called the police at 2am to report someone breaking into his shed in his backyard.
The police told him to stay inside and file a report in the morning.
He told them that he had a gun and was going to shoot whom ever he found in his back yard.
There were three police cars and a helicopter at his house in 3 minutes.

Whether this would work during these spicier times? Unknown.
But be prepared if you step out the door to engage multiple threats.
Stay alert, and be aware of your surroundings, DO NOT drive into crowds unless you are driving an M1 Abrams…
Always be armed, and if possible have a bunch of friends beside you who are armed as well. Know your neighbors!
If you don’t trust your neighbors it is past time for you to move.
Being in the wrong place surrounded by people you can’t/don’t/would never trust…Will get you and your family dead.

I know that joke too.
But as I heard it was like:
A man called the police at 2am to report someone breaking into his shed in his backyard.
The police told him they had no cops available and he should stay inside and file a report in the morning.
The man hung up and five minutes later he called the Police and told them that he had shot the guys and now would dispose of the bodies.
There were three police cars and a helicopter at his house in 3 minutes.
I know there was once a book Producer known as Paladin Press or so. They produced books like The Poor Mans James Bond etc. If I remember they even had a book about disposing a body.

This was no joke, his name is Joe Horn.

In times of emergency, typically thought of as major and widespread natural disasters, such as earthquakes and hurricanes, first responders have designated responsibilities for certain infrastructure and populations. Everyone else is, indeed, on his or her own, until first responders are able to filter resources down to the level of neighborhoods and specific streets or buildings. I learned this from CERT (Community Emergency Response Teams) training, after 9/11. These facts are quickly forgotten, except by those who prepare and train, even if only as responsible citizens (i.e., deplorables).
There’s good reason to prepare and train for formerly atypical emergency events, such as riots and looting, because these events are becoming more common.

Didn’t the Furgeson riots last over 1 year? The media moved on but the looting and rioting lasted
