I showed her the video. She gets it. Both her and her older brother (eleven years) are ‘big nasties’ awhere. We have black, brown and grizzlies around. Last spring we had a blackie do much damage to our irrigation system. Bears are not welcome here. In the spring and late fall I’m always packing bear medicine. Kids will aways have armed escort if they want to venture far from the cabin. During late spring, through summer into fall, salmon are running and the bears aren’t an issue.

This is a reminder to always keep your magnification at the lowest setting. One can always zoom up if an animal or threat is distant, but not necessarily visa-versa.
I know a number of hunters who missed close shots and opportunities because they had their magnification turned up.
