Because they are evil and would rather see people perish. After all, India cured Covid with Ivermectin – we can’t allow the fear porn to stop and make this go away. They might lose their leverage over the poors.

Yes there will be reckoning but the problem remains that God uses the wicked to judge the wayward, and then, those wicked ones are judged. It’s all through Scriptures. God used Babylon and Rome to meet out judgment and then they were destroyed themselves.
