The Teamsters On The Canadian Protests

The protests are a “despicable display of hate that does not reflect the values of them Teamsters.” It “prevents hardworking Teamsters from doing their job. The Teamsters Union denounces the ongoing freedom convoy protest at the Canadian border that continues to hurt workers and negatively impact our economy. The livelihood of working Americans and Canadians in the automotive, agricultural and manufacturing sectors is threatened by this blockade. Our economy is growing under the Biden administration, and this disruption in international trade threatens to derail the gains we have made.”
Hmm … nothing about inflation growing out of control, nothing about wages of workers being diminished from that, nothing about flooding the economy with unnecessary trillions of dollars in cash, nothing about shutting down the economy for two years, nothing about violating the religious rights of people who don’t want forced shots for a low-risk disease.
I wonder how much money he was paid to say those things?

There was a time of employee abuse. REAL abuse.

Now there is a Law i can live with, Outlaw Unions.

I’m a member of a Teamster affiliated union, but not the actual Teamsters. I agree with a lot of what is being said about unions, but there is still a place for them. My personal example is, prior to my facility unionizing, the company cut our wages, went from 8 hour shifts to 12, cut our holidays, tried to eliminate the seniority policy that had been in place for decades and generally supervisors treated you however they liked with no recourse. It was up to them how they approved or disapproved vacations, overtime, what positions you could fill, you get the idea. Is it perfect? Not nearly. But at the least, the company just can’t do whatever the hell they please, to whoever they please. If you’ve never worked anywhere where those conditions existed, good for you. The fact is, there are places like that, and worse. Read some of the horror stories of Amazon warehouses. That said, Hoffa sucks and FJB.
