The NRA is firmly stuck in the 1990s, politically, and is long past its expiration date. They can also be compared to Laotian neutralists, who wound up being more of an obstacle to the anti-communists than as a stabilizing element.
The NRA should get out of politics entirely, and go back to being an instructional group that publishes standards for competitions and training.

Even the magazine sucks. Its nothing more than a series of ads for major firearm manufacturers. I gave up my 30 year membership 5 years ago. GOA Gets it.

I, unfortunately, became a lifetime member years ago. The only reason I keep it (and, yes,I know this is petty) is to make them physically send me a magazine every month which goes from the mailbox to the trash can. I just want them to have to pay to print it and send it which leaves them less money to spend fighting against my wishes.

It is true that the NRA is a gun control organization. However, I wish the gun tubers would quit referring to police as “Our First Responder Heroes.”
Those are the people who will violate your RTKBA and do so happily. If those “Heroes” refused to violate their oaths then the PTB would not be able to do things like this.

If you're interested in what else the The Captain's Journal has to say, you might try thumbing through the archives and visiting the main index, or; perhaps you would like to learn more about TCJ.

Well, the NRA could always come out as a part of the Brady campaign, but that might be too honest.

The NRA worked against gun rights in Georgia and Arkansas, to my personal knowlege.
