Gun Owners of America recently filed a lawsuit against the ATF, after the agency blocked Alabama firearms dealers from allowing buyers to use their concealed handgun permits in place of going through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).
Federal law says that state concealed handgun permits (CHP) that meet or exceed the requirement of section 922(t)(3) of Title 18 can be used by dealers instead of requiring background checks. Alabama’s concealed firearms permit statute meets the federal requirements because sheriffs are supposed to run applicants through NICS before issuing a permit.
The ATF discovered that some sheriffs in Alabama were not using NICS. Some of these sheriffs were running applicants through The National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and other federal databases, but not NICS. Yet NCIC is the same database that NICS pulls its information from before returning with a denial or approval. The ATF decided to revoke dealers’ ability to use CHPs because of a few sheriffs’ actions.
[ … ]
… as ATF records show, multiple ATF employees decided it was worth the litigation risk because of “public safety.
Oh it has nothing at all to do with “public safety” and they know it. That’s a smoke screen.
But it does go to show just how much the ATF is feeling its oats.

Mrgunsngear did a video on Biden’s gun plan. It was as honest and factual as all his videos are. He only used information from the ATF and Biden’s website to describe what the gun plan would mean for Americans.
Youtube SHUT IT DOWN. Here is a link to Mrgunsngear’s facebook page.

I actually watched the video. It wasn’t controversial. It literally was just him explaining Biden’s gun plan.
Edit: Here is a link to the video that was posted on YouTube. You can judge for yourself. There is nothing controversial about it. https://fb.watch/1lHwZyYrbF/
Ha! Until Fakebook takes it down.
A long, long time ago, American patriots should have seen this coming and planned for a different social media platform.
This is our own fault for relying on the communists.

News from Virginia.
The General Assembly’s action would have been considered a rousing success if the goal was to increase, rather than decrease, the number of firearms in the commonwealth. But since there are now more than a half million more of these weapons in Virginia than there were before the Democrats’ highly-touted gun control bills passed, one can only conclude that the effort was a total flop.
Oh, I don’t think it was a total flop. It had the affect of making it more difficult on FFLs, which was one of the goals.

SPRINGFIELD — With $2,000 worth of stock, a network of nuns and a Catholic health care organizations are once again asking gunmaker Smith & Wesson to adopt a statement on human rights and to make a public accounting of the cost of gun violence.
Company management — remembering the strong backlash to Smith & Wesson’s Clinton-era overtures to gun safety advocates — said adopting the sort of human rights policy the nuns are looking for would alienate supporters in the “firearms enthusiast community,” according to Smith & Wesson documents filed in the run-up to the vote.
The request for a human rights policy modeled on the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights goes before stockholders Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Smith & Wesson’s annual shareholders meeting.
The initiative is backed by the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility which includes the Northwest Coalition for Responsible Investments the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary U.S.-Ontario and the Adrian Dominican Sisters and others.
They’re being old biddies and mother hens for the world because they missed their calling in life.
First of all, go pound sand and get lost.
Second, you’re designed to be married, wife of one husband, and mother to children. Go do what you’ve been designed to do and then maybe you wouldn’t have so much time to be nosy, gossip and meddle in the affairs of others.

I stumbled across this definition (which I’ve never seen because I don’t frequent this web site).
The FBI, on its website, describes this: “Militia extremists … believe that the Constitution grants citizens the power to take back the federal government by force or violence if they feel it’s necessary. They oppose gun control efforts and fear the widespread disarming of Americans by the federal government.”
If you do not believe that the first amendment recognizes the right of amelioration of tyranny by force, you don’t believe that the war of independence was righteous. Many, of course, don’t even today. But that aligns them squarely with tyranny as the founders so aptly stated.
If you oppose gun control efforts, I suppose the FBI has a place for you on their watch list.
If you don’t believe that the pols desire the widespread disarming of Americans, you haven’t been listening. It’s not just the democrats. GWB famously was in favor of a new AWB after the first one went sunset, but couldn’t get the senate to go along.

A plain reading—not “analysis”—of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s gun bill, now in both houses of Congress, will require current and future gun owners to pass psychology and character tests to continue owning the firearms they already legally possess. When asked, legal experts have been unable to describe how this would be legal, Biden has not commented. America has 100 million gun owners by most estimates. That has grown dramatically by sales to people terrified amidst urban rioting, who can’t get police protection, during the corona-virus pandemic.
The first line of the identical bills, HR5717 and S3254, requires a federal license for any American to legally “purchase, acquire, or possess a firearm or ammunition.” This is de facto infringement.
To obtain this license you would need to prove to unelected officials that you are of “sound mind and character,” you do not “potentially create a risk to public safety,” and you meet “any other requirements the State determines relevant.” No standards or guidelines are provided. Assuming anyone could qualify, authorities, “make a determination of suitability,” for your possession and ownership of firearms, including any you currently own.
Ah, I see we’re back to this again. In order to defeat the second amendment, they’ve renewed their fealty to the community witchdoctors, except that the community witchdoctors are just bureaucrats, and thus, communist witchdoctors.

In addition to demanding “sentence first — verdict afterwards” edicts and registration-enabling “background check” prior restraints, Casten calls for a ban on “common defense” weapons while misrepresenting the core purpose of the Second Amendment and actually claiming what the Founders wanted was a “standing army,” something Elbridge Gerry, Fifth Vice President of the United States, called “the bane of liberty.”
Challenger Ives, we are told, “voted against several gun-control measures while a state representative, including a red flag law and proposals that: created a 72-hour waiting period for gun purchases; created licensing rules for gun dealers; and sought to create minimum age limits for people buying assault-style weapons [and] sponsored legislation allowing people to carry concealed firearms.”
Given such choices, it would be easy to say “just stay home and grill a burger.”
Unfortunately, it’s not quite that simple. David explains the details.

“Former Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), a frequent critic of President Trump’s, is endorsing Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden along with several other former Republican lawmakers,” The Hill reported Monday. “The list includes other former members of Congress who had previously announced their support for Biden, including former Sens. John Warner (R-Va.) and Gordon Humphrey (R-N.H.), who is now an independent, and Rep. Charlie Dent (R-Pa.). Other former lawmakers on the list include former Reps. Steve Bartlett (R-Texas), Tom Coleman (R-Mo.), Bob Inglis (R-S.C.), Chris Shays (R-Conn.), Alan Steelman (R-Texas) and Jim Walsh (R-N.Y.).”
The move follows other high-profile “Republican” betrayals timed to help the Democrats take it all in November …
Many of them certified gun rights supporters by the NRA, whose officials too are hypocrites.
Look folks, forget about Trump for a second. These people have intentionally, knowingly, adroitly undermined God-given rights the entire time they have been in power, and would turn the FedGov over to men and women who would do worse than any previous administration.
Payback must be had one day.

We have a history with Seth Jones. Yes we do. He told us that the right wing in America is the real security threat. Not Antifa, not BLM, not CAIR, not the Muslim Brotherhood. He slithered out from his snake hole again with this piece (via reader Cris).
First, based on the tactics of domestic terrorists, enacting stricter legislation to ban some types of guns (such as assault rifles) and further strengthening background checks could help prevent some would-be terrorists from getting access to weapons. Firearms are—by far—the most common weapon for fatal attacks by far-right, far-left, and Salafi-jihadist extremists. Based on data from the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), the number of firearm background checks for gun purchases has spiked to its highest level ever in 2020—reaching nearly 4 million in June 2020. The pervasiveness of guns—including automatic weapons—is particularly concerning in the United States’ ultra-polarized political climate. In addition to guns, other types of weapons—such as vehicles, melee devices, incendiary devices for arson attacks, and the components for homemade explosives—are also widely available.
Yes. The far right. Automatic weapons. Suitable for panic-stricken Mom’s against so-and-so to carry in front of Congress.
So that’s the way it is, Seth? The existence of Antifa because of open borders, crap taught in the public school system, and the failure of the inner city due to government subsidies causing fatherless families is now the reason du jour for more gun control?
Is the current failure of America your replacement for Obama’s Fast and Furious, also meant as a pretext for the same?
Go crawl back into your hole.

Ardern banned assault rifles and military-style semi-automatic weapons just six days after the Christchurch mosque attacks.
New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern put on a headscarf as an act of solidarity after the Christchurch shooting.
She wanted to display her solidarity to Sharia law.
Then she banned guns.
Actually, a more accurate way of saying it is that New Zealanders voluntarily turned them in. Next up, this news.
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced if someone refused to be tested in a medical facility they will not be allowed to leave the facility until they are tested.
Turn in your guns = an invitation to tyranny. It’s that simple.
