How Helene Affected The People Of Appalachia

To begin with, this is your president. This ought to be one of the most shameful things ever said by a sitting president. "Do you have any words to the victims of the hurricane?" BIDEN: "We've given everything that we have." "Are there any more resources the federal government could be giving them?" BIDEN: "No." pic.twitter.com/jDMNGhpjOz — RNC Research (@RNCResearch) September 30, 2024 We must have spent too much money on Ukraine to help Americans in distress. I don't…… [read more]

“We Will Not Comply!”

BY Herschel Smith

News from Virginia.

Video at the link as the Virginia House passes their version of the AWB.  Shouts of “We will not comply!”

I told them in an email I wrote to every member of the Virginia House, but they don’t care.  They’re putting their stamp of authenticity on the loss of all legitimacy of the Virginia legislators.

Seems about right to me.

Status Of Virginia AWB Legislation

BY Herschel Smith
4 years, 9 months ago

Via David Codrea, this news from Virginia.

Instead of criminalizing specific types of rifles, shotguns and pistols altogether, the amended bill makes it illegal to import, purchase, sell, transfer or manufacture an assault firearm, with some exceptions for gifts, guns handed down through family estates and temporary transfers to allow weapon rentals at shooting ranges. As originally drafted, the bill would have required people who already own assault firearms to register them with the state for a $50 fee. That provision has been stricken from the bill, allowing those weapons to be lawfully kept without registration.

“No one has to give up a weapon,” Del. Mark Levine, D-Alexandria, said at the committee hearing.

If you’ll recall, Levine is infamous for his stupidity, but he isn’t embarrassed at all.

So that’s the strategy in order to get something to pass the House.  It is to ensure that MSRs do not proliferate further than those who already own them, and beyond that, I’d suspect that they have tricks up their sleeves for how weapons are transferred to your family in wills (although for me, that would be “Son, empty my safe as soon as I’m gone”).

I do have a suggestion for Virginians though.  Although MSR builds will be illegal if this passes, I’d find a friend on the other side of the border, get some armorer’s tools, and learn to make my own.  Get your parts – all of them – from a friend, bring them back, and build your own in the future.

Am I suggesting that you ignore this new law?  Why yes, yes I am.  Because it’s unconstitutional and runs afoul of God’s laws.  The real loss here is FFLs and what they’re able to sell.  I’m truly sorry for the state they will be left in.

And no, I don’t want to hear one more word about TINVOWOOT.  I’m going to pound the guts out of the next person I hear say that.  We are where we are because we’ve failed to teach, train, and raise young men who believe in God, we failed to vote, we failed to engage in politics, and we failed to ensure a Godly republic.  American men opted instead for football games, stupid jerseys, couch sitting and television.  Politics is war.  Failure to see it that way leads to disaster.

I’ve said before that I am a Christian Reconstructionist.  God has something to say about how men live together, whether that be in art, science, politics or law.  It’s all His domain and since we are made in His image, we are to take dominion over it for His glory.  I have no sympathy for those who claim they’re going to go all tactical when so-and-so happens, while they fail to engage before so-and-so happens.  Here’s my answer: no you’re not.

Besides, if you are too frightened to use your name, engage your local LEOs and politicians and ensure a Godly republic, you deserve what you get.

Virginia Gun Laws Update

BY Herschel Smith
4 years, 10 months ago

News from Virginia.

RICHMOND, Va. — Virginia’s Senate Judiciary Committee passed several gun control bills Monday morning.

Those bills tackle everything from universal background checks (S. B. 70- Background Checks), one gun a month limit, (S.B. 69- One-Gun-a-Month Limit), red flag laws, firearms and ammunition to be controlled by localities (S.B. 35- Local Authority), as well as firearms being restricted at public events.

Each bill was brought before the committee and discussed at length with some amendments included. For five minutes opposers and supporters were able to speak on the bills.

For five minutes.  The best argument against it is that it violates God’s laws.  The simplest argument they can understand is that there isn’t an army big enough to enforce any of it if Virginians are determined in their opposition.

Apparently, the AWB is struggling a bit.

Several Senate Democrats have already said they are unlikely to back the governor’s ban on so-called assault weapons, such as the popular AR-15-style rifles – a key part of Northam’s gun-control package. The House version of the bill has also not advanced.

The assault weapons legislation has drawn the fiercest pushback, as gun-rights advocates accuse Democrats of wanting to confiscate such rifles from current gun owners. Northam has said he has no interest in doing so.

An estimated 8 million AR-style guns have been sold since they were introduced to the public in the 1960s. The weapons are known as easy to use, easy to clean and easy to modify with a variety of scopes, stocks and rails.

Oh my.  Eight million is a very low estimate.  I would guess twice that number.  Anyway, reader Fred makes a good point when he says that the most dangerous thing to come out of the controllers is the red flag laws.

And listen to this statement of one communist from Arlington.

“For too many years this body has put the convenience of gun owners above all else,” said Democratic Del. Patrick Hope.

Change the wording a bit.

“For too many years this body has put the convenience of Christians above all else, allowing them freedom of speech, unmitigated access to worship and their Bibles” said Democratic Del. Patrick Hope.

How does that strike you?  They are both God-given and constitutionally recognized rights, yes?

Telling Lies About Richmond

BY Herschel Smith
4 years, 10 months ago

David Codrea.

Despite things not working out the way the governor ginned up all that fear for, reality hardly stopped his political allies from doing what they do best, springboarding off his lie and adding whoppers of their own.

“Annual gun lobby day protest in Richmond drew large numbers of white nationalists, militias, and racist conspiracy theorists this year,” the ever-odious Rep. Don Beyer tweeted. “Neo-Nazis tried to use this rally to launch violent attacks. Trump’s symbolism and memories of Charlottesville are vivid in many minds today.”

Taking their cue on what to amplify, NBC was representative of the rest of the DSM (Duranty/Streicher Media), breathlessly planting seeds like:

“On far-right corners of the internet, some have said the rally will accelerate a ‘race war.’”

No one I know said something like that.  Being a bit dramatic, are we?  Open carry is legal in Virginia (it won’t be if the communists get their way), so no law was broken, no fights broke out, no violence ensued, and not a single negligent discharge occurred out of 30,000 firearms (it would be good for the police to take a page from their book).

Don’t you know the progs just hate that?

Ammunition Sales Are Way Up In Virginia

BY Herschel Smith
4 years, 10 months ago

News from Virginia.

AmmunitionToGo.com, an online ammunition retailer based in Houston, Texas, recently recorded a massive upsurge in their web traffic and sales in the state of Virginia. The company reports the number of Virginians accessing their website in 2020 has increased by 137 percent as compared to the same time period in the previous year. Their revenue from sales to Virginia accordingly increased by 174 percent. Virginia, once one of AmmunitionToGo.com’s top 20 markets, has skyrocketed to the top five among far more populous states including California and Texas. “I doubt that any other businesses are affected as much by politics as firearm and ammunition manufacturers and retailers,” said Brandon Black of AmmunitionToGo.com. “We’re now seeing a massive number of Virginia shooters stocking up on ammunition in anticipation of new laws that they believe will make it harder to purchase rounds legally.”

Americans are no strangers to stocking up on goods that will soon become prohibited. On January 16th, 1920, liquor store shelves were stripped dry before prohibition took effect the following day. Countless smokers filled their humidors with Cuban cigars in the days leading up to the 1962 trade embargo. John F. Kennedy himself bought 1,200. Bump stock manufacturers’ websites frequently crashed during the weeks preceding the 2019 ban — even

though the rifle accessories would not be grandfathered in legally. It would seem nothing quite drives up sales more than impending scarcity.

AmmoToGo.com’s current records, if accurate, tell a story of Virginians who are fervently stockpiling ammunition. The retailer’s sales have increased across the state. Below, you’ll see an assortment of Virginia cities and their increase in sales from 2019 to 2020 for January 1st through January 20th:

– Arlington – 339%

– Ashburn – Up 42%

– Charlottesville – 278%

– Fredericksburg – 161%

– Newport News – 102%

– Norfolk – 113%

– Richmond – 80%

– Roanoke – 155%

– Suffolk 76%

– Virginia Beach – 207%

You  mean to tell me that ammo sales in Arlington (around the beltway) and Ashburn (home of the CIA cloud) are up that much?

And Charlottesville, and Roanoke, where the last I heard was that they rejected 2A resolutions, has ammo sales up that much?

Say, you don’t suppose that these good men from those locations need to get involved locally and ensure that their Sheriffs and Deputies and County Commissioners and County attorneys are on board, do you?

The NRA Wants To Compromise In Virginia

BY Herschel Smith
4 years, 10 months ago

News from Virginia.

Richmond, VA–You’re going to be angry when you hear the crap that’s coming out of the NRA today.

In an article posted just today by Reuters, a spokesperson for the National Rifle Association in Virginia stabbed gun owners in the back.

While 30,0000 or more gun owners are traveling and gathering at Virginia’s Capital at great expense–and no small risk to their safety–the NRA is offering to compromise.

NRA official Daniel J. Spiker made the repulsive comments in an article posted earlier today:

“Anti-gun billionaires who invested millions in the 2019 Virginia elections expect a return on that investment,” said NRA official D. J. Spiker.  “The NRA is fully prepared to work to defeat Governor Northam’s gun grab – but also work to find compromise.”

It’s an all too familiar compromise.  Who really expected the NRA to fight on the side of liberty and God-given rights?  Really.  Answer that question.  Who among us?

But be aware, Ralph “Kill the babies and give me all your guns” Northam.  If you swagger around telling everyone that you and the NRA compromised to achieve “gun safety laws,” to most of us that merely means that communists cooperated with betrayers.  In fact, any bill supported by the NRA will likely be opposed by the rest of us merely because it was supported by the NRA, if not for other reasons.

Speeches At Richmond Rally

BY Herschel Smith
4 years, 10 months ago

This Facebook link is a video of the speeches at the Richmond rally.  The speeches begin at about 2:09 (that’s two hours and nine minutes into the video).  Before that it shows helicopter video surveying the scene, along with rooftop snipers.

Rooftop snipers.  How ridiculous.

Sheriff Sheriff Scott Jenkins of Culpepper County speaks.  To him, it appears that his promise to deputize thousands means they get to keep their firearms because they are now LEOs, not because he might need them to keep agents of the state from infringing on the rights of citizens in his county.

I suggest that someone in Culpepper County take him out for coffee and have a long conversation with him.

Democrats Say Rally Won’t Impact Their Plans For Gun Control Legislation

BY Herschel Smith
4 years, 10 months ago

It’s nice to see that rally day in Richmond went off without a hitch.  No infiltrators, at least, none who could really do any damage.  The best part of all of this was the lack of false flags.

Rex Tibor said in one video that this was happening, and it’s time to act.  I disagreed then and I do now.  Don’t get me wrong.  I sincerely appreciate the folks who could make it today.  I had initially intended to go despite my belief that it was a perfect opportunity for a false flag event.  I changed my mind when I found out about the cages.  I reconsidered when I saw that the rally was big enough to accommodate armed folks outside the cages, but I had to work today.  I think it would have been nice to be there with like minded folks.

But this isn’t the end.  It’s only the beginning.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Tens of thousands of gun-rights activists from around the country rallied peacefully at the Virginia Capitol on Monday to protest plans by the state’s Democratic leadership to pass gun-control legislation — a move that has become a key flash point in the national debate over gun violence

The size of the crowd and the expected participation of white supremacists and fringe militia groups raised fears that the state could see a repeat of the violence that exploded in 2017 in Charlottesville. But the rally concluded uneventfully around noon, and the mood was largely festive, with rally-goers chanting “USA!” and waving signs denouncing Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam.

An estimated 22,000 people attended, according to authorities, who said one woman was arrested on felony charge of wearing a mask in public.

But Democratic lawmakers — including House Speaker Eileen Filler-Corn and Senate Majority Leader Dick Saslaw — told AP the rally wouldn’t impact their plans to pass gun-control measures, including universal background checks and a one-handgun-purchase-a-month limit. Democrats say tightening Virginia’s gun laws will make communities safer and help prevent mass shootings like the one last year in Virginia Beach, where a dozen people were killed in a municipal building.

Ignore the lie for a moment – it’s irrelevant.  The point is that the communists are unpersuaded.  The safest prediction, since the democrats own the House Senate and gubernatorial mansion, is that gun control passes, including a ban on MSRs and magazine capacity limits.

Now the real battle begins.  It’s going to be vitally important in the very near future for Virginians to know where their county Sheriff stands, or where there city police stands, and to know where their neighbors stand.  The real work will be taking local county commissioners and Sheriffs out for coffee, fisking their true intentions, personal training, organizing a militia, and making sure that communities stand together when the time comes to defy the laws.

Defiance of the laws means no state agent arrests citizens for ownership of MSRs or standard capacity magazines.  It means counties are sincere, clear-headed and intentional in their opposition to unconstitutional laws, and it means that they know the cost and are willing to bear it.

This will have to be done by Virginians, while everyone else tends to life back in their own communities and presses forward with the same sorts of plans.  It was always going to be this way.  A rally was never going to stop the controllers.

But what it does do is prepare the ground.  When the state is surprised that there is armed opposition to enforcement of the gun laws, your community can honestly say, “We warned you and you didn’t listen.  The warnings are finished, and froggy time has begun.  Lie in the bed you made.”

Ralph “Kill The Babies Give Me All Your Guns” Northam had a response to rally day.

Okay.  Tell us Ralphie.  What teams?  What did you de-escalate?  How did you do it?  How could this have been a volatile situation?

Tell us, Ralphie.  We’re listening.
